  • CITRS is our character education program; it is district-wide. Rodgers School has great enthusiasm for helping our young students embrace these virtues each month!  Please scroll to the bottom to see all the virtues and definitions.  

Character, Integrity, Trust, Relationships, Success

  • The CITRS program and team have provided the following definitions for grades K-4:

    owl SEPTEMBER - Wisdom:  Seeing what is right, what is truthful, and always knowing the right thing to do.

    Pinocchio OCTOBER - Integrity:  Following the rules, being honest, telling the truth, and doing what you say you are going to do.

    bubble NOVEMBER - Self-Control:  The ability to control your feelings, emotions, reactions...and behavior.

    kids with balancing scales DECEMBER - Justice:  Treating other people fairly, as you would want to be treated yourself.  

    train JANUARY - Fortitude:  Sticking with it and doing the right thing when it is hard to do.

    Mugs the bulldog saying "Be a Bulldog Buddy!" FEBRUARY - Positive Attitude:  Thinking and believing that everything will turn out well in all that you do.  

    Rainbow Fish MARCH - Humility:  Being confident without thinking you are better than someone else.

    Magnifying Glass APRIL - Respect:  Understanding how others think and feel, then treating them with kindness.

    heart MAY - Love:  Being a true friend who unconditionally gives and wants the absolute best for someone.
