    CITRS is our character education program; it is district-wide. Rodgers School has great enthusiasm for helping our young students embrace these virtues each month!  Please scroll to see all the virtues, definitions, and symbols.

    The CITRS team has provided the following definitions for grades K-4:

    owl wisdom     SEPTEMBER - Wisdom:  Seeing what is right, what is truthful, and always knowing the right thing to do.

    Pinocchio integrity      OCTOBER - Integrity:  Following the rules, being honest, telling the truth, and doing what you say you are going to do.

    bubbles       NOVEMBER - Self-Control:  The ability to control your feelings, emotions, reactions...and behavior.

    justice  DECEMBER - Justice:  Treating other people fairly, as you would want to be treated yourself.  

                          Also, meaning "fair."  Everyone gets what they need; fair and equal are not the same thing.

    fortitude    JANUARY - Fortitude:  Sticking with it and doing the right thing when it is hard to do.

    positive attitdue     FEBRUARY - Positive Attitude:  Thinking and believing that everything will turn out well in all that you do.  

         MARCH - Humility:  Being confident without thinking you are better than someone else.

    mag glass      APRIL - Respect:  Understanding how others think and feel, then treating them with kindness.

    heart       MAY - Love:  Being a true friend who unconditionally gives and wants the absolute best for someone.

    heart and hands      JUNE - Charity:  Caring for and helping other people through acts of giving and service.
